Frank Lampard could have Ephron Mason-Clark back for the huge top-of-the-table clash with Middlesbrough on Monday.
The forward missed the goalless draw with Oxford United with a foot injury but Lampard says he could train this weekend ahead of the game.
“He started to do some work this week and we are hoping he’ll be training over the weekend,” the City boss said.
Frank Onyeka is also available, following the birth of his child.
“Yeah, he’s ready to go,” Lampard said.
“He had a couple of days off, had the baby on Sunday/Monday, so yeah, he’s training with us. It’s good to have a little bit of training time for him before we start to look at the game on Monday.”
Middlesbrough sit two points ahead of second-placed Coventry going in to Monday’s meeting.
