Coventry City's FLW Fan Pundit Chris Deez has urged the club to re-evaluate their ambition and attacking options in the January transfer window.

Coventry City have enjoyed a magnificent campaign thus far, but there are concerns that they may need additional fire-power to get themselves over the line and into the Premier League.
Going into Saturday's bitter clash with Leicester City at the CBS Arena, the Sky Blues’ had managed just two victories in their last nine matches across all competitions, with both of those wins being relatively unconvincing 1-0 defeats of Swansea City and Bristol City at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
And whilst they got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over the Foxes thanks to a second half turnaround, there will still be a bit of pressure from supporters to ensure they get the last couple of weeks of this window spot on to give Frank Lampard the best possible chance of taking Cov back to the top flight.
Joel Piroe is a name that is being touted around in terms of a possible move this month, with the Leeds United striker linked with a move to Coventry’s promotion rivals Middlesbrough, but should City be in for him as well?

Up until his match-winner against Leicester, Coventry talisman Haji Wright had failed to score since a 5-0 demolition of Sheffield Wednesday in early October - but there's now hope that the USA international can get firing again.
However, FLW’s Coventry Fan Pundit Chris Deez believes that there is a lack of ambition perhaps being shown and that cashing in on Wright with a view to a move for someone like Piroe makes sense.
Chris told FLW: “The question is, why on earth are Coventry not in for Joel Piroe?
“He has been mentioned a couple of times but nothing more concrete or solid than that.
“He’s a proven goal scorer in the Championship and that is exactly what we need.
“I cannot get my head around why Frank Lampard is so loyal to Haji Wright when he has not scored for three and a half months (prior to the Leicester game) and he has assisted one goal in that time.
“I have become a fan of Ellis Simms. I was his biggest critic for a long time but has proven me wrong. For whatever reason, no matter how good a form he is in, Lampard doesn’t see him as our main starting number nine. What is the problem?
“I’m starting to get a bit annoyed with Doug King. Bringing in the two wingers, Esse and Yang, were great little signings. Esse looks brilliant and I’m really excited to see what he could offer us.
“But we’ve got two weeks left of the window now and I’ve not even seen us linked with the positions we need. We need another central midfielder, we probably need another centre-back, we definitely need another left-back and we, certainly, above anything else, need a goal-scorer."
Chris is also starting to become frustrated with owner Doug King due to the lack of transfer movement in key areas of the pitch, despite the good work he's done to turn around Coventry's fortunes from a number of different angles.
“Lampard has said that he is happy with what he has got up top and I’m starting to think that Doug King doesn’t have confidence in us to get promoted and that’s why he doesn’t want to bring in players on decent wages or for big fees – just in case they don’t get us promoted and we’re stuck with them in the Championship next season," Chris added.
“We’ve still not spent the £6.5 million for (Ben) Sheaf. He blocked a move for (Patrick) Bamford and he’s gone to Sheffield United to show what he could have offered us. His goals would have been invaluable over these last few months when we’ve been in terrible form.
“I’m really, really worried that the wheels have started to come off and it’s due to Lampard’s blind loyalty to Haji Wright and Doug King’s lack of ambition, for want of a better word.
“He came in, he said all these amazing things. He also bought the stadium. We’ve had a couple of incredible seasons under him, he’s brought in the big name manager in Lampard, which was a genius move.
“Another part of me is starting to think maybe it has dawned on him that because of the five-year plan on season tickets, he is on the verge of having to give 15,000 season tickets away for free and he has realised how bad a financial idea that was.”

It has already been quite a busy winter window for Coventry City and if action is to be taken on improving the final third then it could continue to be one, too.
But Lampard remains clear that his attacking options are good enough to cope with, and the return from injury of Brandon Thomas-Asante will only bolster his ranks between now and the season's end.
The Ghanaian was in fine form before being sidelined and was one of the stars of the Championship season, and if he can resume his goalscoring prowess, then the likes of Piroe will not be needed at the CBS Arena.
The Dutchman of course would be a real asset if Cov were to be in for him and land him, but it doesn't look likely - no matter how much wishful thinking is done.
