Coventry City 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday in Coventry on Saturday, a result that keeps Coventry top of the Championship.
Pierce Charles set the tone in the 14th minute, parrying Ephron Mason-Clark's drive from the left after Haji Wright's pass.
The Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper was busy again, tipping Mason-Clark's low effort away (66.). Coventry introduced Ellis Simms and Romain Esse (67.) to raise the tempo.
Simms glanced a close-range header wide (73.) and was then denied by Charles in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time as the visitors clung on. Tayo Adaramola departed injured late on.
Coventry registered 20 attempts and controlled 69.1% possession. Sheffield Wednesday finished without a shot on target from eight attempts and made 41 clearances.
Next, Coventry City visit Blackburn. The Owls host Charlton next.
