Liverpool v Sunderland Tickets: Prices, Availability and What Fans Face in Nashville

Liverpool’s pre-season starts next Saturday in Nashville, and the first thing to say is simple, this is not a cheap day out. Sunderland provide the opposition at Geodis Park in what will be Andoni Iraola’s first game in charge, and while some senior players are still absent after summer breaks, there is obvious interest around the fixture.

Kick-off is set for 5pm local time, 11pm in the UK, at the 30,000-capacity Geodis Park. For supporters already in the United States, that is manageable. For fans considering travel from Merseyside or elsewhere in Britain, it quickly becomes an expensive exercise before flights and hotels are even added.

Liverpool pre-season tickets still available

Liverpool are not directly selling tickets for the Sunderland, Wrexham or Leeds United friendlies through the club site, but supporters can still access seats through the external route provided there. The key point is that availability remains strong. There are still plenty of seats on the market for Liverpool v Sunderland, so this is not about scarcity. It is about cost.

The cheapest available ticket at present is $129.95, which converts to £96.66. That is the floor. From there, prices climb steadily depending on section and view.

Nashville ticket prices are steep

One notable option sits directly behind the goal in a safe standing area for Liverpool fans, priced at $416.50, or £309.82. That is already severe for a pre-season match, even one carrying the novelty of a new head coach on the touchline.

It still gets worse. Seats on the halfway line are above $500, with the premium “Transcard Premier Club” package costing $551.30, or £410.09. Those seats include all-inclusive food, drink and alcohol, and 25 were still available at the time of writing.

Andoni Iraola debut adds extra pull

The attraction is clear enough. Supporters in the area may see this as a rare chance to watch Liverpool live, particularly with Iraola beginning work in public for the first time. That carries value. Sentiment, though, does not alter the arithmetic.

For local fans, there is a case. For travelling supporters from the UK, this looks like one of those trips where the match ticket is only the start of the damage. Liverpool pre-season in Nashville may be appealing, but Liverpool v Sunderland comes with a price tag that does not pretend to be reasonable.
