CRB have signed 20-year-old centre-back Lyncon on loan from Vasco until the end of the season, adding cover for head coach Eduardo Barroca after defensive issues in the derby against ASA.
The club said in a statement that the Vasco academy graduate excelled at youth level, winning titles at under-15, under-17 and under-20 and featuring for Brazil’s youth teams, and that he impressed on his 2024 Brasileirão debut for Vasco by scoring in a win over Internacional.
CRB were without their first-choice centre-backs in the 3-0 defeat to ASA, and Barroca now has another right-footed option for the position. Henri and Fábio Alemão are on tailored physical programmes this week to return.
Lyncon, 1.86m, spent last year with Volta Redonda, making two appearances.
Attention is on the state semi-finals, with CRB already through. The Campeonato Alagoano registration window closes on Friday and the club are expected to announce a left-back.
