On the morning Javier Aguirre arrived at Valencia, Cristhian Mosquera was spotted at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna, visiting former team-mates and fitting in a solo session on one of the training pitches.

The Alicante-born player worked alone in a black shirt and Arsenal shorts, using the first days of the international break to be near his family before returning to London. El Partit de la Una reports that he trained with a Valencia reconditioning coach.

Mosquera is managing a thigh injury and wants to be back up to speed for the Premier League’s return in a little over two weeks.

A product of Valencia’s academy, he is valued at 40 million euros after a productive first season.

This campaign he is targeting more prominence in his team and aims to keep pushing himself into the front rank of European football.
