Cristian Chivu’s first months as Inter Milan coach have left a strong impression both on and off the pitch.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Romanian has earned widespread approval from the dressing room, club directors, and even ownership group Oaktree.
All are delighted with the early results of their bold decision to appoint a young coach after Simone Inzaghi’s departure.
Chivu was tasked with rebuilding a squad that had been mentally drained by last season’s painful ending.
The Nerazzurri lost the Champions League final 5-0 to PSG and Inzaghi left shortly after.
His mix of tactical innovation and emotional intelligence has proved transformative.
His empathy and clear communication have helped forge a tight bond with both the experienced core and the youngsters.

From a tactical perspective, Chivu has adapted Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system, introducing new principles of play and a more aggressive approach.
His balance between continuity and progression has impressed those inside the club hierarchy.
As Corsport notes, this is a transitional season: not in terms of ambition, but in the sense of renewal.
Several senior players are expected to move on at the end of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Chivu’s steady hand has made the transition smoother, convincing everyone at the club that he is the right man for the job.
