Cristian Olivera accepts Nacional offer and moves to Uruguay | OneFootball

Cristian Olivera has accepted Nacional’s proposal to leave Grêmio, has already relocated from Porto Alegre to Uruguay, and is waiting for the clubs to finalise the deal before any announcement.

Nacional have formally submitted an offer to Grêmio’s new board via an intermediary. The plan is a one-year loan with a fixed purchase option at the end of the contract, and some details remain unresolved.

Grêmio say they are still analysing the bid, while Nacional are confident. "Yes, he will play for Nacional. A loan and an option to buy." Speaking to Warda con Estos on Aweno TV, vice-president Flavio Perchman said on Wednesday.

Olivera, 23, has repeatedly expressed a wish to represent Nacional. At Grêmio home games he would arrive carrying a thermos decorated with the Montevideo club’s badge.

An announcement is expected only once the remaining points are settled between the clubs.
