Cristiano Giuntoli reacts to his signings at Juventus finally performing well | OneFootball

Most of the players Cristiano Giuntoli signed at Juventus struggled, and he was criticised for not knowing what he was doing. However, that perception is changing, with several of those players now beginning to perform well.

The likes of Teun Koopmeiners and Nicolas Gonzalez have looked good when playing for Juve this season, even though they have not been important members of the squad.

Douglas Luiz has also reclaimed his place as a starter for the Bianconeri, and he is expected to play an important role for the team this term under Luciano Spalletti, who appears to favour the former Aston Villa man.

Juventus Players Finally Showing Their Quality

Juve have been plagued by injuries in midfield, and that is one of the reasons the players the club previously did not want to keep have become important members of the team.

Their improved performances could now suggest that Giuntoli deserves some credit for the decisions he made during his time at Juventus. Although it has taken some time for the players to show their best form, several are now proving that they can contribute.

The current Atalanta Sporting Director appears pleased to see them performing well, even though his focus has now shifted towards his current responsibilities.

Giuntoli Pleased With Their Progress

Giuntoli said via Calciomercato:

“I’m very happy for them; they’re proving their worth. But honestly, I’m thinking about Atalanta: I think from morning to night about the Atalanta of now and what it will be.”

Juve invested significant amounts of money in these players during Giuntoli’s time at the club, and their improved form could therefore be important for Juventus.

The club will hope they continue to perform well, particularly with injuries affecting the midfield. Their contributions could give Juventus more options while also helping demonstrate the value of players who had previously struggled to establish themselves.

For Giuntoli, seeing several of his former signings finally showing their quality will be encouraging. Juventus, meanwhile, will simply hope their improved performances continue and that they can contribute consistently throughout the campaign.
