Cristiano Ronaldo has acknowledged he is nearing the end of his storied career while still driving Al-Nassr’s title push. The 41-year-old reached 970 career goals in a midweek 2-0 victory over Al-Ahli.

"I keep playing not only for this generation, but also for the previous one and the one coming next," he said. "I enjoy it day by day, game by game, year by year, even as I get closer to the end of my career. That’s a fact." He told CanalGoatBr.

With five Ballons d’Or and five Champions League titles, he can point to a CV that stretches from Sporting CP to Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. The forward has built a legacy that few can match.

He added: "My career has been brilliant and I want to keep it that way. I still enjoy it, I keep scoring goals… but above all, it’s about winning. And we really want to win the league."

Ronaldo joined the Saudi Pro League in 2023 and is still chasing a first league winner’s medal there. Al-Nassr sit eight points clear at the top, with rivals Al-Hilal holding a game in hand.

While the domestic title is the immediate aim, the Portugal captain may also be looking towards the international stage. With the World Cup later this year, the tournament could provide a final curtain call to an illustrious career.
