Cristiano Ronaldo says he is happy at Al-Nassr after ending a brief strike over transfer funding frustrations and returning with two goals in a 4-0 win over Al-Hazem, addressing talk over his future without hinting at breaking his contract.

According to Goal.com, he ruled himself out in Riyadh and missed three games, with exit clauses in his deal that can be triggered in the summer window. His deal runs to 2027.

A return to Europe has been mooted, as has a switch to join Lionel Messi in MLS. His double against Al-Hazem lifted Jorge Jesus’ side to the top, with the 41-year-old pursuing a first major honour in the Middle East.

“I'm very happy with the result and, of course, for the goals.”

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus forward is also edging towards 1,000 career goals and chasing a third straight Golden Boot in Saudi Arabia. He has 20 goals this term, one behind Julian Quinones and three off England World Cup hopeful Ivan Toney.

After his strike, governing bodies said clubs act independently under identical financial rules and that no individual is bigger than the game, citing recent transfers and a tight title race.

Ronaldo has since focused on football, saying his family feel welcome in Saudi Arabia and that he wants to continue there. He added Al-Nassr must keep pushing game by game, while speculation over his future could persist into and beyond the 2026 World Cup.
