Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic is ready to make a ‘dream’ Champions League start in tonight’s clash against Arsenal.

Speaking to Inter TV via FCInterNews, the 22-year-old delivered his verdict on Cristian Chivu’s decision to include him in the starting lineup.

Despite a fantastic start to life at San Siro, Petar Sucic has failed to establish himself as a regular starter.

Indeed, Piotr Zielinski’s mid-season resurgence has significantly derailed the Croatian’s playing time.

Sucic has accumulated just eight minutes across his last three Serie A appearances, testifying to his bit-part status.

However, he has featured in all six Champions League games this season.

Still, he started five of those matches on the bench, barring a 3-0 rout of Slavia Prague in September.

Yet, Cristian Chivu has decided to bring him back to the starting XI tonight at the expense of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Therefore, he will fill the void left by Hakan Calhanoglu’s absence.

“Tonight is a great night,” Sucic said. “Ever since I was a child, I’ve dreamed of playing in matches like this, and I can’t wait to give my all on the pitch.

“These games are often decided by small details, and those little things are what we need to pay close attention to.”

Inter cannot afford another slip-up after losing their last two Champions League games against Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.
