Ignacio Rivero scored the opening goal in the 8’, striking a left-footed strike at the top of the box, to connect on a pass from Carlos Rotondi.

Lorenzo Faravelli extended the lead in the 28’ with a right-footed missile from midfield.

Ángel Sepúlveda penned his name on the scoresheet in the 37’ with a right-footed touch in front of goal to connect on a wide service from Rotondi.

Mateusz Bogusz added a fourth in the 45’ with a right-footed rocket from outside the box.

Sepúlveda collected his brace in the 50’ with a header in the box to connect on a lobbed pass from Jorge Sánchez. With nine goals, Sepúlveda concluded the campaign as the top scorer of the 2025 edition.

Cruz Azul head coach Vicente Sánchez won the first trophy of his managerial career. The Uruguayan previously lifted the Champions Cup as a player in 2003.

By winning the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup, Cruz Azul qualified for the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.
