Cruzeiro close to loan for Bruno Rodrigues from Palmeiras, option to buy | OneFootball

Palmeiras are pressing on with 2026 squad planning after adding Marlon Freitas and Jhon Arias, and forward Bruno Rodrigues is close to leaving Abel Ferreira's squad.

According to Nosso Palestra, Cruzeiro have moved to secure the forward from Palmeiras on loan until the end of the year, with an option to buy for five million euros, about R$26.1 million.

Rodrigues had fallen down the pecking order at Palmeiras and was left out of some squads.

He previously excelled at Cruzeiro, producing decisive displays, important goals and technical leadership to become a key reference for the team, a run that drew wider attention and opened the door to his transfer.

Since joining Palmeiras in 2024, he has played little after suffering two serious knee injuries in succession, only putting together a longer run in 2025. He has 17 appearances and two goals for the club, both against Juventude.
