According to Globo.com, former referee Paulo Cesar Oliveira said Cruzeiro midfielder Matheus Henrique should have been sent off against Flamengo in the Libertadores.

At 10 minutes of the first half, Matheus arrived late and caught Bruno Henrique on the shin with his studs.

Argentinian referee Yael Falcón showed a yellow card on the field.

The VAR, Argentinian Hector Paletta, reviewed the incident and decided not to send the referee to the monitor.

The booking was Matheus Henrique’s third in the Libertadores, so he is suspended for the round of 16 second leg at the Maracanã.
