Crystal Palace have agreed to sign Everton attacker Dwight McNeil in a £20 million deal before the transfer deadline this evening, according to The Athletic.

McNeil could complete a move to the Selhurst Park club tonight and is currently undergoing a medical.

However, there are no guarantees the move will be completed as both Everton and the Eagles are in a race against time ahead of the deadline.

A deal sheet may be required if the move is to get over the line, and the attacker will be praying things work out as he wants to play regular football.

The 26-year-old has made 18 appearances across all competitions for Everton this season, but has only started seven games in the Premier League.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner appears to have promised him more opportunities, and he will be desperate to complete the move.

The Eagles have signed Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jorgen Strand Larsen today, while Welsh attacker Brennan Johnson joined them from Tottenham Hotspur last month.

McNeil was initially linked with a reunion with Sean Dyche at Nottingham Forest, but the Eagles have managed to convince him to join them.

The Englishman needs to prove his quality all over again after falling out of favour at the Merseyside club, and a move to Palace will allow him to do so.
