Crystal Palace are awaiting an answer from Andoni Iraola about becoming the club’s new manager.
Iraola is Crystal Palace’s top target to replace Oliver Glasner, who is leaving the Eagles this summer.
Glasner departs Palace having led the Eagles to the first silverware in their history, lifting the FA Cup, Community Shield, and Europa Conference League over the last 12 months.
Palace want Iraola to replace the Austrian, with owner Steve Parish having said the South Londoners ‘want to keep going’ after getting a taste for trophies.
“We have got a taste for it now, we want to keep it going,” Parish said following the Conference League final win over Rayo Vallecano.
“We have gone up a level and we have got to try and stay there. We will have a week to celebrate and then work hard in the summer.”
Iraola is a free agent after deciding to leave Bournemouth. The Spaniard led the Cherries to a top-six finish in the Premier League this season, and European qualification for the first time.
AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen are also understood to be keen on appointing Iraola, with Palace seeking a swift decision after submitting their proposal. According to the BBC, Palace will pursue Coventry City coach Frank Lampard as an alternative, should Iraola reject their offer.
Kieran McKenna, Pierre Sage, Sean Dyche and Thomas Frank have also been discussed as options.
