According to The Standard, Crystal Palace have submitted a bid to sign Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio on loan with an obligation to buy. The plan is a loan now, then £24m up front plus £3.4m in add-ons next summer.

There is no indication yet that the offer has been accepted, though there is confidence on both sides that a deal can be agreed. The 22-year-old is a late-window target for Palace.

Palace are also pursuing Lyon winger Malick Fofana in what is described as a two-horse race with Sunderland.

Fofana has been cleared to undergo a medical and has offers from both clubs. Disputes over agent fees are understood to be creating uncertainty, and it remains unclear whether he will join Sunderland or Palace before the window shuts.

A move for Osorio appears to be advancing, and the Chilean international is keen on a switch to the Premier League. He recorded eight goals and 10 assists in all competitions for Midtjylland last season.

Palace remain active as the deadline approaches, with a number of incomings and outgoings expected to be finalised before tonight’s 11pm BST cut-off.
