Crystal Palace complete stunning comeback to beat Fulham | OneFootball

Crystal Palace claimed their first Premier League victory under Pierre Sage with a dramatic 3-2 comeback against Fulham Craven Cottage.

The Eagles fell behind twice but refused to stay down, with Tyrick Mitchell scoring both equalisers before Ben Chilwell completed the turnaround on his Palace return.

Fulham took the lead in the 11th minute when Josh King’s effort deflected off Jaydee Canvot and wrong-footed Dean Henderson. Palace thought they had responded through Daichi Kamada, but VAR ruled the midfielder narrowly offside.

Mitchell eventually restored parity in spectacular fashion, cutting inside after being released by Eddie Nketiah before firing into the near corner.

Fulham regained the advantage just before half-time. Henderson saved Gonzalo Garcia’s initial effort, but the loose ball fell to Cesar Palacios, who made no mistake.

Mitchell struck again nine minutes after the restart, bundling home after his first attempt was blocked, before Palace introduced Chilwell from the bench.

The 29-year-old needed just one touch to make his mark, volleying home in the 77th minute after Fulham failed to clear.

Rodrigo Muniz missed a late chance to rescue the hosts as Palace held on for the first Premier League win of the season.
