Crystal Palace are considering a move for Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Eberechi Eze is reportedly attracting strong interest from Arsenal, and the Eagles may be forced to bring in a direct replacement if a deal is agreed.
Palace will compete in Europe next season, and strengthening their squad has become a top priority for Oliver Glasner and his backroom team.
They have already been linked with several forwards in recent weeks, including Evann Guessand of OGC Nice, as they look to add more attacking power.
But with Eze’s future still in the balance, the club are now looking at midfielders capable of filling his role
He scored three goals and provided five assists across all competitions, becoming one of the few bright spots in a side that was eventually relegated from the Premier League.
The Moroccan international is comfortable playing as an advanced playmaker, but he also adapts well in box-to-box or more fluid midfield roles.
Renowned for his quick feet, tactical awareness, and technical quality, El Khannouss enjoys being on the ball and dictating play.
His displays have not gone unnoticed across Europe, with RB Leipzig monitoring his situation. They view him as a potential successor to Xavi Simons, who is nearing a move to Chelsea.
Palace are keeping close tabs on the situation and may need to move fast to secure his services.
