Crystal Palace Get Winger Deal Boost As Talks Stall | OneFootball

Crystal Palace have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Alieu Njie as negotiations between Torino and Red Bull Salzburg have stalled.

Njie has attracted growing interest this summer, even though Torino initially made it clear that they had no intention of sanctioning his departure.

Crystal Palace have already tested their resolve with a proposal that would see the player join initially on loan for €2m, followed by an €8m obligation to buy if certain conditions are fulfilled.

Torino wasted little time in turning down the Eagles’ offer, while informing them that Njie would only be available for €18m.

Red Bull Salzburg have also been keen to sign the Swede for some time, and it was suggested that the Austrian giants continued talks with Torino to bridge the gap in their valuations of the player.

The Austrian side’s latest proposal was in the region of €12m, but Torino have held firm, demanding €20m for the winger.

It was recently suggested that Crystal Palace had put their immediate pursuit of the Torino winger on hold, but remain interested in taking him to Selhurst Park this summer.

Should Red Bull Salzburg succeed in the interim then Crystal Palace would see Njie slip away, but that does not appear to be happening.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, negotiations between Torino and Red Bull Salzburg for Njie have stalled.

Crystal Palace have been looking to bolster their attack and have recently secured Dwight McNeil on a player swap with Everton, sending Brennan Johnson to the Toffees.

Meanwhile, Ismalia Sarr, who refused to play for Palace in their Premier League opener, is wanted by Turkish champions Galatasaray.

For Crystal Palace, Red Bull Salzburg struggling to sign Njie is good news and the opportunity is there to swoop in.
