Crystal Palace have moved to bring Auxerre attacking midfielder Kevin Danois to the Selhurst Park club, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Palace manager Pierre Sage wants to further bolster his ranks and the Eagles want to sign the French forward for £25 million plus add-ons.
Sage has been keeping tabs on players from Ligue 1 having managed the likes of Lyon and Lens before moving to the Premier League.
Danois is now on his radar despite just three goals and one assist in 56 games in the French top-flight.
The 22-year-old France youth international is a brilliant and mesmerising dribbler, with his ability to beat his marker a quality the Palace boss admires in attackers.
The Eagles had Danois on their radar in the winter transfer window and could be finally getting their man this summer.
Hull City had a bid rejected for the Eagles target last month and it is unknown whether they have plans to return with an improved offer.
Bournemouth saw two bids rejected for the attacker last summer while Newcastle United also made a move for him earlier this summer.
Lyon, Lille, Rennes and clubs in the Bundesliga are also monitoring the Frenchman, but it appears Palace are set to beat several suitors to his services.
The South London club have signed Zavier Gozo, Anan Khalaili, Dwight McNeil, Oscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Evann Guessand (on loan) thus far.
Danois could be next, and Palace will be desperate to impress across all competitions this season.
