Crystal Palace travel to Elland Road on Saturday night looking to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat and maintain their push to play European football again.

Palace were punished despite a strong performance in a 3-0 loss to Manchester City at Selhurst Park last week, a result that ended their three-game winning run.

However, Oliver Glasner’s side remains firmly in the mix, sitting just two points off the top four and boasting one of the league’s strongest away records in 2025.

With Palace also juggling European commitments, rotation is expected, but Glasner has made it clear that his senior players will return for this trip to Yorkshire.

Match preview

Elland Road has been a lively venue in recent weeks, with Leeds United scoring and conceding freely under Daniel Farke’s new 3-5-2 system.

Leeds are unbeaten in three league matches and have shown renewed attacking zest, but their defensive structure still allows chances, something Palace will exploit.

Despite the heavy loss, the Eagles generated close to two expected goals last weekend and remain one of the most dangerous transition sides in the division.

Glasner’s decision to rest most of his first-choice XI in mid-week means Palace should arrive fresher than their schedule suggests.

Match stats

Crystal Palace have won more away Premier League games than any other side in 2025 (10), collecting a league-high 34 points on the road.

The Eagles have underperformed their expected goals by more than any team this season (-6.5). Their finishing needs to improve.

Meanwhile, Leeds have scored and conceded in each of their last six home league games, netting multiple goals in four of those fixtures.

Palace won 5-1 at Elland Road in their last top-flight visit and are looking to secure consecutive league wins away to Leeds for the first time.

Team news

Palace are without Daichi Kamada after the midfielder suffered a serious hamstring injury.

Daniel Munoz, Cheick Doucoure, Chadi Riad, Rio Cardines, and Caleb Kporha also remain sidelined.

Ismaila Sarr is away on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Senegal, further limiting Glasner’s options in wide areas.

However, the Austrian has confirmed that the players who did not start Thursday’s Conference League draw with KuPS will return to the XI, providing welcome continuity.

Dean Henderson will come back in goal, while Marc Guehi, Maxence Lacroix, and Chris Richards are all set for defensive recalls.

The ‘Outstanding’ Will Hughes is expected to partner with Adam Wharton in midfield.

Eddie Nketiah, 26, should start in support of Jean-Philippe Mateta alongside Yeremy Pino in place of Sarr.
