Crystal Palace reject two bids from Liverpool to sign Marc Guehi | OneFootball

Crystal Palace have rejected two offers from Liverpool to sign Marc Guehi (25) during the summer transfer window, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The Premier League champions are keen on recruiting the England international defender but have seen their advances rebuffed so far.

Both offers submitted by the Merseyside outfit thus far have fallen short of the East London club’s valuation for the centre-back. Palace are demanding a fee in the region of €55m for Guehi. Despite the interest in his services, the Englishman is not willing to force a move to Liverpool this summer.

Guehi’s contract at Selhurst Park is set to expire at the end of the season, and the 25-year-old will be free to speak to clubs as a free agent. If a transfer doesn’t materialise, the former Chelsea defender his happy to bide his time and wait for the right opportunity.

With both of their initial offers rejected, Liverpool have begun looking at alternative options, Foot Mercato understands.
