Crystal Palace turned on the style in their first pre-season friendly to dismantle Crawley Town.
Scorers: Mateta 8â˛, 16â˛, Eze 23â˛, Ahamada 24â˛
Jean-Philippe Mateta set the Premier League outfit on their way by scoring two goals in the space of eight first-half minutes.
The French striker met Eberechi Ezeâs right-sided corner with a powerful header before firing a low volley for his brace.
Eze contributed a goal in his own right courtesy of a brilliant individual effort which he rounded off with a stunning curling strike.
Barely a minute later, Naouirou Ahamada put the Eagles in cruise control by tidily slotting home from close-range at Broadfield Stadium.
Roy Hodgsonâs side maintained their intensity after the interval but were unable to rack up further goals against their League Two opponents.
