According to Florian Plettenberg, Crystal Palace are still pushing to sign Wolfsburg centre-back Maxence Lacroix.

Palace’s admiration for the French defender has been well documented, with the Premier League outfit looking to reunite Lacroix with his former head coach, Oliver Glasner.

With Joachim Andersen set to sign for Fulham, the Eagles are in need of a replacement for the Danish international.

However, the 24-year-old remains intent on forcing a move away from Wolfsburg, with the Bundesliga side hoping to keep the defender at the club for the upcoming campaign.

Regardless, Palace will keep pushing to get a deal over the line before the end of the transfer window, as they view Lacroix as their number one target to replace Andersen, despite interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou.

Personal terms between Glasner’s side and Lacroix are said to already be agreed upon as negotiations with Wolfsburg continue.
