Crystal Palace ‘to meet’ Malick Fofana terms as Sunderland fight for Lyon winger | OneFootball

Foot Mercato reports that Crystal Palace have moved back ahead of Sunderland in the race to sign Lyon winger Malick Fofana.

The 21-year-old was initially linked with the Black Cats, then is said to have switched towards Palace after they offered Lyon more money to secure him.

Sunderland then mounted a push, with higher commissions to the player’s agents complicating the picture.

Another turn seemed to tilt it again towards the Londoners, and Palace are said to have decided to meet Fofana’s financial demands.

Even so, the report said he appeared to favour the team managed by Pierre Sage, who was credited with convincing him, along with his entourage.

He is described as still in limbo, having undergone a medical in Lyon without knowing which club he would ultimately sign for.

Further twists cannot be ruled out before the transfer window officially closes.
