Crystal Palace welcome Liverpool to Selhurst Park on Saturday for a top-of-the-table clash where they will be looking to make history.
Oliver Glasner’s side are currently on a 17-match unbeaten run across all competitions. Avoiding defeat against the reigning champions would see them equal their all-time club record of 18 matches without a loss.
This is the Eagles’ best start to a top-flight season since their famous 1990/91 campaign, and they have transformed into genuine contenders under Glasner. Their tactical approach, combining defensive solidity with rapid counter-attacks, will be put to the ultimate test against a Liverpool side that boasts a perfect record so far this season.
Oliver Glasner has been handed a near full-strength squad for the clash with Liverpool. The manager confirmed that key attackers Ismaïla Sarr and Yeremy Pino are both back in contention. Sarr has completed a full week of training after missing the last three matches and is considered ready, though it is uncertain if he can complete a full 90 minutes. Pino has also recovered from the painful bone bruise he suffered against West Ham and has trained since Wednesday.
With Adam Wharton and Eddie Nketiah also fully fit, Palace’s only absentees for the visit of the Reds are Caleb Kporha, Chadi Riad, and Cheick Doucouré.
Crystal Palace predicted XI: Henderson; Guehi, Richards, Lacroix; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Sarr, Pino; Mateta.
The Premier League fixture will be played at Selhurst Park on Saturday, 27 September 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm BST.
The match will not be broadcast live in the UK due to the 3:00 pm Saturday blackout.
