Crystal Palace travel to Everton on Sunday on the verge of making history. Oliver Glasner’s high-flying side are currently on a 12-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Avoiding defeat at the Hill Dickinson Stadium would set a new, all-time club record for their longest unbeaten streak in the top flight.
To achieve that feat, however, they must overcome a significant historical hoodoo. The Eagles have a dreadful record away at Everton, where they are winless in their last 10 visits. Breaking that long-standing curse against a solid Everton home defence will be a true test of their top-six credentials.
Oliver Glasner has a relatively settled squad, though he remains without the injured trio of Cheick Doucouré, Chadi Riad, and Caleb Kporha. Adam Wharton is fit to start in midfield despite a recent knock. The formidable defensive unit of Marc Guéhi, Chris Richards, and Maxence Lacroix will be key to their hopes of securing a clean sheet.
Up front, Jean-Philippe Mateta will lead the line, with super-sub Eddie Nketiah providing a dangerous option from the bench, having scored three goals in just 139 minutes of football in his last four appearances.
Crystal Palace predicted XI: Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Yéremy, Sarr; Mateta.
The Premier League fixture will be played at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday, 5 October 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 2:00 pm BST.
The match will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage beginning at 12:30 pm.
