Crystal Palace will look to get their first win of the new Premier League season when they take on Fulham on Saturday at the Craven Cottage.
Crystal Palace are enduring a tough start under new manager Pierre Sage, as they are hunting for their first points. The Eagles opened their campaign with a 2–0 loss away to Everton before suffering a heavy 4–1 defeat at home to Manchester City. Defensively fragile, Palace have conceded six goals in two games. Their solitary goal so far this term came courtesy of an own goal, highlighting a critical lack of cutting edge up front.
Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage faces a far more challenging selection dilemma as he hunts for his first points of the new campaign with a heavily depleted squad.
The Eagles will be entirely without star striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has been ruled out for roughly three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury.
Ismaïla Sarr is also sidelined with a groin issue, having missed recent training following a collapsed transfer move to Liverpool.
Furthermore, defender Chadi Riad remains sidelined long-term with a severe knee injury. On a brighter note, Sage could hand debuts to a wave of late transfer arrivals.
Ben Chilwell, Honest Ahanor, Quinten Timber, and Darío Osorio have all trained with the first team and are fully eligible to feature. Osorio, in particular, is heavily tipped to receive early minutes out wide to help offset Palace’s attacking absences.
Possible Crystal Palace starting XI: Henderson; Canvot, Richards, Tomiyasu; Khalaili, Kamada, Wharton, Mitchell; McNeil, Larsen, Pino
The match will kick off at 3pm BST on Saturday, 5th September.
The match will not be telecast due to the 3pm blackout rule in the UK.
