DEVONSHIRE, Bermuda The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continued with Curaçao earning a 7-nil victory over Bermuda in Group B on Thursday at the Dame Flora Duffy National Sports Centre in Devonshire, Bermuda.

Leandro Bacuna opened the scoring for The Blue Wave with a penalty kick conversion in the 6’.

Juninho Bacuna doubled the Curaçao lead in the 32’, unleashing a blast from distance.

Jordi Paulina made his international debut in spectacular fashion, forcing a penalty kick as the goalkeeper took him down in the penalty area, and then burying the conversion from the spot in the 48’.

Sonja Hansen added to the scoring in the 58’ with a tap-in from the middle of the box.

Paulina recorded his brace in the 63’ when he pounced on a rebound from the keeper and slotted Curaçao’s fifth of the night.

The offense kept rolling as Ar’Jany Martha smashed a free kick in the 82’, and Roshon van Eijma caught the keeper by surprise in the 90’+2’ with a screamer from distance. 

With Jamaica drawing 1-1 against Trinidad and Tobago, Curaçao took sole possession of the group lead with one match remaining.

Curaçao will visit Jamaica on Tuesday needing just a draw to seal the direct qualification to the World Cup.

Bermuda will face Trinidad and Tobago as both teams aim to finish on a positive note.
