For the 20th time in the club’s history, Eintracht Frankfurt will be heading to Texas to take part in the Dallas Cup.

The 47th edition of the Dallas Cup is being held from 29 March – 5 April, and for Eintracht Frankfurt, it will be the 20th time that the club is taking part in the now famous international youth football competition that is the oldest of its kind in the USA.

This year, Eintracht are sending U14 and U17 teams to Texas to see how they measure up against high-quality youth sides from around the world.

The club has built up close ties with the USA over recent decades, missing the competition just twice in the past 22 years.

Eight trophies

Last year’s appearance was a particularly successful one, with the U14 team bringing the cup back to Frankfurt. Head coach Rocco Lettieri’s charges defeated Illinois Magic 3-0 in the final to take the coveted ‘Boot & Ball’ trophy, in what was an eighth tournament win for one of Eintracht’s sides in Dallas.
