Manchester United will welcome Manchester City at Old Trafford this Sunday as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian club managed to earn a dominant 4-0 win over Sabah in the UEFA Champions League recently, so they would be keen on keeping their good form going in the Manchester derby this weekend.

Michael Carrick will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this game. Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw could all play from the start of this clash.

4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Manchester City

Defence

Senne Lammens will function in goal for the Red Devils after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Harry Maguire will play alongside Lisandro Martinez at the centre of Carrick’s defence as they focus on keeping the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.

Diogo Dalot will try to catch the eye as the left-back, while Luke Shaw hopes to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to perform their defensive duties well before offering support to their teammates up top.

Leny Yoro will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Kobbie Mainoo and Youri Tielemans will operate as the holding midfielders for Man United as they try to make life tough for the visitors in the middle of the park.

The talented trio of Matheus Cunha, Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo will feature just ahead of them as part of Carrick’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Red Devils are to secure maximum points at Old Trafford this weekend.

Andrey Santos and Mason Mount will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Benjamin Sesko will lead the charge for the Mancunian giants up top. He would be eager to impress after getting his name on the scoresheet versus Sabah in midweek.

Joshua Zirkzee will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
