Brentford have announced that Damien Duff has joined the coaching staff as an assistant first team coach to Keith Andrews.

The former flying winger began his coaching career with Shamrock Rovers' youth teams before going on to be an assistant at both Celtic and the Republic of Ireland national team. Duff then went on to manage Shelbourne, winning the League of Ireland with them in 2024.

"I’ve known Damien for a long time," Brentford boss Andrews said about his new coaching staff member.

"I’ve seen him up close throughout his coaching journey. We’ve been on courses together and worked together as coaches with the Republic of Ireland national team.

"Damien will bring experience, presence and a real level of detail to our coaching department. He will add to the great group we already have and I’m very pleased that he is joining us."

Brentford had an impressive 2025/26 campaign under Andrews, finishing ninth in the Premier League table, narrowly missing out on European football.
