According to Leeds Live, Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke is hopeful winger Dan James will be available for Wednesday nights Carabao Cup tie at Chelsea, with Joe Rodon the only significant absentee.

James reported back pain during the warm-up at Brighton at the weekend and did not feature. Scans revealed no damage to the back of his hamstring, despite some tightness.

He came through an initial session yesterday, with another planned today and a light workout tomorrow morning. Farke said that if James clears those, he is carefully optimistic the winger will be in contention.

Rodon is facing a long-term lay-off.
