Following two second half fightbacks, Leeds United secured a point from reigning champions Liverpool on Saturday evening.

Arne Slot's side scored a quickfire double just after the break which was cancelled out by Dominic Calvert-Lewin's penalty and Anton Stach's powerful strike, before Dominic Szoboszlai's finish retook the lead in the 80th minute.

However, fighting until the end, the Whites once again found a leveller through Ao Tanaka, who bundled home at the back post to score his second goal in as many games.

After the final whistle, Daniel Farke spoke to the media, saying: "Another magical night here at Elland Road, and the ground was again rocking, like no other ground probably in world football. Once this place is on it, it can be second to none.

"My boys have this attitude, they never know once they're beaten. They always try, whatever is thrown at them in terms of difficulties or adversity, they always try to find the answer and try to find good solutions. And then to come back in this way after being 2-0 down and to equalise the game was outstanding.

"Yes, I'm happy for the boys and the point feels like a win, but it's also just a point, we need to win many more points. Important week for us, important point also for us, but nothing is achieved yet, we have to keep going and need to win a few more games.

"We need to draw a few more games, but if we show this type of performance, especially spirit and belief, then we definitely have a good chance. At this stage in the season, the performances in all three of these games have been magnificent."
