Daniel Farke hails Tarik Muharemovic after ‘class’ Leeds debut against Sunderland | OneFootball

Daniel Farke believes the sky is the limit for Tarik Muharemovic after the defender's impressive Leeds United debut in a 1-0 pre-season win over Sunderland in New Jersey.

Muharemovic, a £34 million signing from Sassuolo this month, made his first appearance last night. He started in a back three with Joe Rodon and Sebastiaan Bornauw and stood out before a late substitution. The Leeds head coach highlighted that it was the Bosnian's first taste of English football and a step up in intensity, noting he has played roughly one year at top level. Farke said he was delighted to have him and felt it was a class display.

Fellow summer signing Harry Wilson also started, having made his first outing under Farke as a half-time substitute in last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Wrexham. While he did not shine to the same extent, flashes of technique offered a glimpse of what Leeds might expect when the season begins next month.

Farke described Wilson as a quality attacker with extensive Premier League experience and an outstanding recent campaign for goals and assists. He believes the winger is well equipped for this level and will improve Leeds' attacking options.
