Leeds United travelled to Dublin for a final pre-season friendly of the summer, before the Premier League campaign begins next weekend against Everton at Elland Road.
A goal down at the interval, the Whites hit back in the second half through Anton Stach, meaning the game ended level in a well-contested affair.
Speaking to the media after facing the Italian out, manager Daniel Farke gave his thoughts on the game.
He said: “It was an important final test for us against one of Europe's giants.
“We have played during pre-season against many strong teams and I'm pretty happy that also today we came away with a good result.
“The feeling was we should have won this game because we had so many chances, when we dominated already in the first half.
“We didn't reward ourselves perhaps that much and of course AC Milan has incredible quality and out of nothing they can sometimes score a goal.
“I liked also our reaction not to lose our nerves and to stay on it and to invest everything also to equalise.
“I think in the end we would have deserved to win, so overall it was a good performance and a good final test, but there's still lots of work to do.”
