According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke says Brighton loanee Facundo Buonanotte has edged closer to Leeds United involvement in recent weeks, with a spate of injuries potentially creating an opportunity.
Buonanotte ended an unsuccessful spell at Chelsea in January to join Leeds on loan from Brighton. He has made three appearances for the Whites, totalling 69 minutes, after eight outings for Chelsea earlier in the campaign.
He has not featured in the last five Premier League squads and was left out for the FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham.
Farke says the 21-year-old has trained with greater consistency at Thorp Arch over the past two or three weeks, likening his situation to Ao Tanaka. He was close to the West Ham matchday squad when many players were fit, and any chance now would still depend on consistent daily work.
Competition for attacking places remains fierce, with Willy Gnonto training well, Noah Okafor coming off a top performance and Daniel James and Anton Stach among recent injuries. Brenden has played many minutes and won a penalty, so opportunities may be limited unless Buonanotte maintains his level.
