Leeds United returned to winning ways after beating Millwall 2-0 in the Championship at Elland Road on Wednesday night.

The Whites failed to win their previous two games—West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth—and squandered the lead at the top. However, with the latest victory, Leeds have now taken a slender two-point cushion over Sheffield United.

The games are coming thick and fast. Leeds now face Queens Park Rangers away at Loftus Road on Saturday in the Championship. This is the last game before the March international break, and Leeds will want to preserve the lead at the top.

Ahead of the match, Daniel Farke has made it clear that Leeds do not have any fresh injury issues from the previous game. He hopes to have a fully fit squad (apart from those who are already injured) for the weekend’s clash.

The Whites boss also provided an update on Isaac Schmidt. He said that Schmidt felt unwell before the game. Hence, no risks were taken. The 25-year-old left-back has returned to training today and should be available against QPR, which is positive news.

Farke said (via Beren Cross): “No injury concern. Every player last night seems to be available for this game. Isaac Schmidt felt unwell and was out last night. In training today and could be a topic this weekend.”

Leeds fans will be excited to hear the news, especially since they were concerned about Joe Rothwell after he was taken off towards the end of the match. He was seen holding an ice pack, and many fans wondered whether he had picked up an injury.

Rothwell was outstanding against Millwall, and his partnership with Ao Tanaka in central midfield is one of the major reasons Leeds are in this position.
