Leeds United manager Daniel Farke will be in the dugout against Sunderland tonight, while weighing whether to accept the red card shown at Elland Road after the final whistle of the home defeat to Manchester City as he approached referee Peter Bankes.
According to Leeds Live, the FA have yet to contact him about the dismissal to notify him of a one-match ban.
He could choose to take the punishment so any suspension is served when Leeds host his former club Norwich in the FA Cup this weekend. That would allow him to return to the technical area for the trip to Crystal Palace on March 15.
He has considered asking the FA to review referee camera footage in an effort to overturn a ban, and maintains the card was shown before he had spoken to the officials.
Farke has discussed the incident with club officials and believes footage from the ear-mounted camera worn by Peter Bankes could clear him. The club think there is a strong chance the video will show he has no case to answer, and he is expected to wait for the FA to make contact before deciding his next step.
