Daniel Siebert to referee PSG – Arsenal Champions League final

UEFA has confirmed that German referee Daniel Siebert will officiate the UEFA Champions League final between title holders PSG and Arsenal. The game is set to be held at Budapest’s Puskas Arena on Saturday, May 30. Siebert’s assistants will be Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn. Swiss referee Sandro Schärer will be the fourth official for UEFA’s showpiece club competition final.
Siebert recently refereed the UEFA Champions League semi-finals’ return leg between Arsenal and Atlético de Madrid. He was also in charge of PSG’s away game to Athletic Bilbao in the UCL league phase. The 42-year-old Berlin-born referee has experience at the highest level. He has officiated in 27 UEFA Champions League games and was part of the refereeing team for the two previous editions of the European Football Championship.
UEFA has also announced that French referee François Letexier will oversee the Europa League final between Aston Villa and Freiburg. The UEFA Europa League final will be played on Wednesday, May 20 at Istanbul’s Tüpras Stadium.
