Danielle van de Donk has been named in the Netherlands' Euro 2022 squad as she continues her comeback from injury.
Netherlands boss Mark Parsons has selected his 23-player squad - plus eight standby players - for this summer's tournament as the Netherlands attempt to defend their European crown.
Van de Donk is among the 23 who will travel to England in July, despite being sidelined since November with a foot tendon injury which restricted her to just eight league appearances during her debut season with Lyon.
The midfielder has ramped up her recovery in recent weeks and was included among the substitutes for Lyon's last two outings, watching from the bench as the French outfit secured the Champions League and Division One Feminine titles in back-to-back fixtures.
"We're hoping that she can get some game minutes before we start," Parsons said of the returning Van de Donk. "There's always risk when you look at a player that hasn't played a lot of football. There's some players you can do this with. Dan is critical for the whole process."
The Netherlands find themselves in Group C at Euro 2022 alongside Olympic silver medalists Sweden, plus Switzerland and Portugal.
They have friendlies against England - managed by former Netherlands boss Sarina Wiegman - and Finland in the build up to the tournament, before kicking off their campaign against the Swedes on 9 July at Bramall Lane.
