Flamengo centre-back Danilo has liked a social media post that criticised incoming head coach Leonardo Jardim following Filipe Luís’s departure.

The exit of Filipe Luís shocked the dressing room, with many players voicing support for him. Danilo’s interaction drew attention to a strongly worded critique of Jardim, according to Coluna Do Fla.

Influencer Fui Clear published a lengthy message accusing football figures of dishonesty and urging transparency. He referenced claims of psychological strain and personal reasons, warning that such narratives can invite a backlash once challenged.

Fui Clear also alluded to Vítor Pereira’s 2022 exit from Corinthians, which cited his wife’s mother’s health before he joined Flamengo weeks later. Jardim left Cruzeiro in December citing personal problems and, roughly three months on, will become Flamengo head coach. Some Cruzeiro supporters have labelled him a traitor online.

Already in Brazil for personal commitments in Minas Gerais, Jardim will arrive in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night, 3 March. He will sign a two-year deal to December 2027 and replace Filipe Luís, who won almost everything with Flamengo.
