Danilo Pereira (32) has said that Paris Saint-Germain will have to “adapt” to playing without Kylian Mbappé (25), echoing the words of his manager at club level, Luís Enrique.
Mbappé is expected to leave PSG at the end of the season. The Frenchman reportedly informed club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his impending departure, although no party has confirmed the reports. For many weeks now, Luís Enrique has repeatedly stated that PSG “will have to get used to playing without Mbappé, sooner or later”, whilst the Spaniard has dropped Mbappé in recent Ligue 1 games as Les Parisiens prepare for life without their talisman.
Whilst Mbappé’s future destination is yet to be confirmed, it will be before this summer’s Euros in Germany. France teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni also dropped a hint that Mbappé’s future will lie at Real Madrid during an interview with Téléfoot on Sunday.
Currently on international duty, Danilo was asked about Mbappé’s likely departure. “If he is no longer with us, I have to be ready,” began the PSG centre-back during a press conference. “He is a key player for us and he will be in whatever team in which he finds himself. It’s life; it’s like that, some players leave, others arrive. We have to adapt to that,” he added.
Mbappé may still be at PSG, but all actors at the club already look like they are preparing for life without him.
