Former Tottenham Hotspur and Everton star Dele Alli has held talks with Danish club FC Midtjylland, but a move does not look to be on the cards.
Alli is on the books at Italian side Como, but having failed to make an impression, is expected to be shipped out.
It remains to be seen where Alli will end up, but he has had interest from Denmark.
According to Danish outlet Bold, Superliga side Midtjylland have held talks with Alli’s camp this summer.
Despite the discussions though, no move to Denmark has been agreed by the former England midfielder and there is nothing to suggest that it will be.
The new campaign has now started in Denmark and Midtjylland sit in third spot after nine games.
Whether there will be developments which will send Alli to the Danish club in the coming days remains to be seen, but the midfielder is likely to be considering his options.
Alli made just one appearance for Como last season, against AC Milan, and was sent off.
He had been looking to get his career back on track at Everton and was backed to do so by one former England star.
The midfielder, who had an impressive spell at Tottenham earlier in his career, is now 29 years old.
Whether he can ever get back to his previous heights is open to question, but he does not look to be ready to hang up his boots yet.
Alli and his camp will be plotting his next move carefully, as it could be key to whether he can get back on track or not.
