Reaction has come in after Albion confirmed the arrival of promising attacker Jimmy-Jay Morgan.
West Brom have moved quickly at the start of the transfer window.
The Baggies kicked off their summer spending under James Morrison with the arrival of forward Barney Stewart from Falkirk, while they also announced the incoming of Liverpool defender Carter Pinnington, although the former Reds man will originally be placed into Albion’s U21’s setup for development.
And later in the day, the Baggies then confirmed the signing of exciting Chelsea youngster Jimmy-Jay Morgan.
The England U20 international, like Stewart, has penned a four-year contract at The Hawthorns, with Albion spending an up-front fee of £1.3m, with add-ons taking it to as high as £4m.
Morgan is a talented individual who looks capable of making the step-up to the Championship, particularly after spending last term on loan at League One side Peterborough United and netting 14 times.
The Baggies have now taken a punt on the versatile forward, who can play as a number nine, on the wing or even as an attacking midfield option.
Albion will be hopeful he can be the man to add another creative layer to the Baggies’ forward line, with the Black Country outfit needing to score goals on a regular basis if they are to mount a promotion push this coming campaign.
After completing his media duties, Morgan took to social media to express his delight at linking up at The Hawthorns, and an Albion favourite and former Chelsea icon have had their say on the move.

Taking to Instagram, Jimmy-Jay Morgan posted a picture of himself in West Brom’s training kit, posting: ‘Proud. New home. Let’s go!’
As expected, the comments section has been a busy place with good luck messages from former colleagues and famous faces.
One to comment was fan favourite from last season in Danny Imray, with many Baggies fans hopeful the Crystal Palace defender will make a permanent move to the club. The Telegraph’s John Percy did report at the end of last season that one of Albion’s main priorities was to bring the 22-year-old back to The Hawthorns.
Imray commented with two blue hearts, while a couple of replies to his post coming from Albion supporters trying to convince him to return to the Black Country.
Meanwhile, Chelsea icon John Terry has also put a comment under his post. Terry and Morgan know each other from Terry’s current part-time coaching consultant role and mentor for Chelsea’s academy, so the 45-year-old will have seen him flourish through the youth system.

Terry responded: ‘Good Luck mate’ followed by blue heart, fist pump and football emojis.

The majority of West Brom fans might be in a state of utter shock that the club has moved so swiftly at the beginning of a transfer window to land three players.
But James Morrison’s plan is to get players in as quickly as possible, so they can bed in with a full pre-season and be ready for the beginning of the campaign.
It’s a strong strategy from Albion, who will have an advantage over most other sides in the Championship by getting business done so early.
Of course, the Baggies still have a long way to go before their squad will be ready for the onslaught of the 2026-27 season, with the team still needing a fresh injection of creativity, mainly on the wing, given the club has released Jed Wallace and Karlan Grant’s future remains up in the air.
And not to mention trying to get Danny Imray back, who acted as a second winger with his marauding attacking runs and devastating deliveries from out wide.
However, it’s a statement of intent by both the club and Morrison to already be cracking on with their business, with Albion fans hopeful that this season can see them situated towards the upper ends of the Championship table and away from a ghastly relegation battle that they were embroiled in last term.
