Whatever Ibrox Noise thinks of Danny Rohl (and it’s underwhelming), we will certainly be interested in what the German coach does next month.
Rohl has already promised big changes for January, confirming he believes certain players just aren’t up to it.
And the ex-Southampton coach has a window to stamp his own authority on the squad and become far more accountable for results.
He said:
“We all know that the squad is going to need some help in January. It’s going to be new players and recruitment is going to be a big topic.”
This is a bold promise, but the signs are not that reassuring when his first two additions were lower-league slop in Scott Fry and Tristan Steiner. They’re not further uplifting when he’s looking at a lower league German left back either.

But… them’s the sword he’s got, he’s picking this talent, these players, these staffers.
The fans are screaming at Ibrox Noise ‘GIVE HIM TIME FFS, LET HIM GET HIS OWN PLAYERS’. So we’re going to play ball on this one.
We’re going to see just how good (rubbish) what Rohl brings in this January actually is. And if there’s no immediate uplift (when, there’s no immediate uplift) we’ll then await the ‘oh ffs, the new players are only just in the door, they need time to gel ffs’.
So, yes, we’re not really expecting those who say ‘judge him in January’ to actually stick to that.
Unless, that is, we sign the bulk of Alloa and Barnet reserves? Maybe then fans might suspect Rohl’s Revolution is a mite underwhelming.
But… we will humour it. We will watch with interest at the superstars Danny Rohl brings in next month and the junk we shift out.
You never know. Maybe Ibrox Noise will be impressed?
