Leeds United will lock horns with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this Sunday afternoon as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Whites managed to secure an impressive 3-0 win over Norwich City in the FA Cup recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.

Daniel Farke will set his players up in a 3-4-2-1 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first team for this clash. Karl Darlow, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Joe Rodon could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

Karl Darlow will operate in goal for the Whites as he looks to keep a clean sheet this weekend. Farke could name a back three of Joe Rodon, Jaka Bijol and Pascal Struijk. Their main job would be to keep the opposition attackers frustrated during the 90 minutes.

Sebastiaan Bornauw will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu will anchor the midfield for the Whites as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

Gabriel Gudmundsson will hope to prove his worth as the left-sided wide player, while Jayden Bogle looks to put in a good performance on the right wing. Both of them will be instructed to make some overlapping runs out in the wide areas.

Brenden Aaronson and Anton Stach will get the freedom to function as Leeds‘ attacking midfielders. Both of them will have to move the ball well if they want to create enough chances for the Whites to win this contest.

Sean Longstaff and Daniel James will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will spearhead Leeds’ attack in the final third. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet versus the Eagles this weekend.

Lukas Nmecha will drop to the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages if the Yorkshire club are in need of a goal by then.
