Dartford and Mansfield Town go top in Women’s Regional Leagues

While Dartford and Mansfield Town are now among Regional League Premier  leaders, Colney Heath, Forest Green Rovers and Havant & Waterlooville all went top in the first divisions.

EASTERN – Colney Heath climb into first place

1 North – AFC Dunstable are up to second on goal-difference following a 5-0 success at Stevenage Devs, Real Bedford Res went fourth with a 6-3 defeat of Mulbarton Wanderers.

1 South – Colney Heath replaced Southend United at the top after a 4-0 win at Toby FC, Chelmsford City’s 6-2 result over Frontiers lifted them to fifth.

League Cup 2nd Round – Stanway Pegasus edged a seven-goal thriller at Lawford, Newmarket Town beat Wootton Blue Cross 3-2 helped by a Millie Docking double, Haringey Borough seeing off Harpenden Town by the same score and Thetford Town substitute Mollie O’Callaghan scoring half their six goals at Kings Lynn Town. Results elsewhere were; Whittlesey Athletic 2-5 Needham Market, Wormley Rovers 1-2 Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers, Southend United 0-5 Watford Ladies Devs, Biggleswade United 4-1 Romford Town Flyers Enfield Town 4-0 Histon.

EAST MIDLANDS – Mansfield’s Millie makes them leaders

Premier – Mansfield Town’s Millie Edwards got both goals of the game at Anstey Nomads, as the Stags went top of the league. Basford United moved up to fourth with a narrow 2-1 win at basement side Nottingham Trent University.

1 Central –  The bottom four played among themselves, with West Bridgford’s first win achieved 2-0 at Beaumont Park and Sleaford doing likewise away to Brookside Athletic by the odd goal in five.

1 North – Gainsborough Trinity beat Belper Town 4-0 to go five points ahead of the rest, with Grimsby Town and Grimsby Borough drawing 1-1 at Notts County Devs and Dronfield Town respectively. Chesterfield FC’s Faye Delaney scored the sole goal at Arnold Eagles, while Sherwood sent Buxton to a 4-1 defeat.

1 South – New Bradwell St Peter opened up a six-point lead with as many goals at Long Buckby, Wellingborough Town leapfrogged Thrapston Town into second when defeating them 4-3 helped by Lauren Adams’ brace. Cardea’s first win was a 3-2 result at Bugbrooke St.Michael where Ana Langa struck twice, Northampton Town Devs also won 3-2 at Dunton & Broughton United where Rachel Beswick came off the bench to net the decider.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Seven-goal Dartford ascend to the summit

Premier – Dartford took over at the top from Saltdean United but from two game more, when sinking Sport London E Benfica 7-0. Barking went fourth as a Miquellah Meade effort was enough to beat Ebbsfleet United. Newhaven saw off Ashford United 3-2 and Sutton United’s 3-1 win over Haywards Heath Town was set up by Caitlin Savage’s double.

1 North – Clapton CFC are level on points with leaders Brentford but having played four games more, after a 3-0 victory at Richmond & Kew whose Maisie Ward was sent off. Dulwich Hamlet Res won 4-3 at Actonians Res 3-4 with sub Elisabeth Heyndrickx scoring twice. Denham United defeated Richmond Park 6-1, Bromley’s Leen Winner Ekwo netted four in their 9-1 result at Ashmount Leigh, Leatherhead thrashed AFC Whyteleafe 15-0 with Megan Button banging in five and Cassie Brown three.

1 South – Steyning Town are third after beating Herne Bay 4-2 with Amber Hazlewood getting a couple, Welling United went fourth with a 4-1 result at Soccer Elite Football Academy. Montpelier Villa and Hastings United played out a goalless draw, Bognor Regis Town were two up at Three Bridges with six minutes to go before the match was abandoned due to a serious injury.

NORTH EAST – Seven in a row for Ossett United

Premier – Hull United’s Chloe Robinson scored the only goal at York Railway Institute to secure their first win, Ponteland United were held 1-1 at home by Sunderland West End, Wallsend BC 0-0 by Harrogate Town.

1 North – Norton & Stockton Ancients Res extended their lead at the top when hitting Wallsend BC Res for six, Robyn Wrigley with four goals in 22 second-half minutes. Bishop Auckland beat Consett 1-0 with substitute Katie Smith the scorer, Chester le Street United’s 7-2 success at Gateshead featured four for Lily West and three from Lucy Bowman. Hartlepool United beat Chester le Street Amazons 5-1, i2i International Soccer Academy went one better in defeating Redcar Town.

1 South – Ossett United made it seven wins from seven, Emily Burgin bagging a brace during their 4-2 result at third-placed Lower Hopton. Leeds Modernians just got the better of Brunsmeer Athletic 3-2, Sheffield Wednesday’s Nicole Shaw hit a hat-trick in their 7-2 win at Sheffield United Foundation, while Altofts put six past Kiveton Park.

NORTH WEST – Wrens rock Darwen, ten out of ten for Vics

Premier – Fleetwood Town Wrens got off the bottom with a fine 3-1 defeat of second-placed Darwen, with Kaya Pottinger netting two of their three goals in the last quarter of the game. Tranmere Rovers took the points 4-2 at Salford City, it finished one apiece between Crewe Alexandra and FC United of Manchester, while neither Bury nor West Didsbury & Chorlton could break the deadlock in their meeting.

1 North – Workington Town were narrow 3-2 winners over Morecambe, Atherton Laburnum Rovers beat Blackpool 2-1, Haslingden and Fleetwood Town Wrens Res drew 1-1, while Radcliffe ran out 5-0 winners against Hindley.

1 South – Poulton Vics made it ten straight wins with a 2-1 result over Ellesmere Port Town, Mossley Hill Athletic are up to second with a 4-2 victory over Macclesfield FC in which Jodie Mortimer got two of their goals. Runcorn Linnets’ Lile Ashley found the net three times in a 7-3 success at MSB Woolton, Wirral Phoenix were 5-1 winners over Wigan Athletic, Litherland REMYCA suffered an eleventh but tight defeat 3-2 at home to Warrington Town.

SOUTHERN – Havant lead table after nine-goal thriller

Premier – Oxford City missed a chance to go top when going down 4-1 at Wycombe Wanderers, Woodley United were 3-0 winners against Sholing aided by Sarah Lawrence’s two efforts, Selsey and Badshot had to settle for a second point each at 2-2 after an 80th-minute leveller by Lea’s sub Daniella Mitchell.

1 North – Beaconsfield Town came from behind to win the top-two clash 2-1 at Ascot United Res, where Dominique Carrington grabbed the 68th-minute winner. Abingdon United Devs came out on top in a goalfest as 7-5 victors at Milton United, Wycombe Wanderers U-23s’ sub Meira Ashby scored twice in a 3-0 win at Slough Town, Kidlington won 3-1 at Chesham United Devs, while Tilehurst Panthers were pegged back by Caversham United for a 1-1 draw.

1 South – Havant & Waterlooville hit top spot with a thrilling 5-4 beating of Bournemouth Sports Res, in which Sophie Lee notched a treble and the visitors had Isobel Weatherly dismissed after two cautions in latter stages. Fleet Town’s Isabella Moffett got three in a 6-1 win at AFC Varsity, which lifted them into second place. Wimborne Town had seven different scorers in their 8-2 win at Abbey Rangers 2-8, Woking scored all three goals of the match at QK Southampton.

REGEN ARABLE SOUTH WEST – Rovers regain leadership

Premier – Forest Green Rovers beat Bishops Lydeard 5-1 to retake top spot from Torquay United. Ilminster Town were held 3-3at home by Pucklechurch Sports whose Jessica Frazer came off the bench to strike twice, AEK Boco sent AFC St Austell to a 6-0 loss.

1 North – Gloucester City extended their winning start to a sixth game, Kamissa Stichter with the decisive goal in a 2-1 result at Royal Wootton Bassett Town. Bitton beat SGS Olveston United with a Ruby Nolan brace, Cirencester Town defeated Downend Flyers 4-2 helped by two from Libberty Messenger. Bath City won 4-1 at Purton, Paulton Rovers 3-1 away to Stockwood Wanderers and St Vallier 2-1 over Corsham Town.

1 South – Bideford drew 1-1 at home to Helston Athletic, Honiton Town were 2-0 winners at Feniton,

WEST MIDLANDS – Sphinx first to deny Shifnal victory

Premier – Shifnal Town dropped points for the first time when held 2-2 at Coventry Sphinx, for whom Kirsty Farnsworth netted twice. Lye Town defeated Coundon Court 4-1 to leapfrog them into third spot, Leek Town got three goals and three points at Alvechurch.

1 North – Eccleshall went level on points with leaders Walsall Wood with a 6-2 win at Leek Town Res, while Walsall FC won by a single goal at Newcastle Town.

1 South – Redditch United had Jenny Bugg-Millar sent off in the 2-1 home defeat to Halesowen Town, for whom Katie Robinson came off the bench to score in their fifth win from five. Elsewhere, Worcester City Res were 2-0 winners against Hereford Pegasus.

Division 1 Cup 2nd Round – Tamworth pipped Walsall Wood 4-3 on penalties after being deadlocked at 1-1, to book a quarter-final tie at the winners of AFC Telford United versus Walsall FC.
